Ben 250

Benjamin has dedicated his career to helping students from all backgrounds obtain access to education and realize their leadership potential. Benjamin began work in educational access at the Posse Foundation in Miami, where he served as Program Director for over five years. In this role, he was responsible for leading the recruitment and selection efforts in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties (the nation’s 4th and 5th largest urban school districts) and Posse’s twenty-eight week leadership and college-success program. He came to New York in 2016 to serve as Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Math for America (MfA), a role that allowed him to work on issues of equity and access that affect New York City STEM teachers and students through the award of hundreds of fellowships per year to STEM teachers across New York City.

In his free time, Benjamin sits on the board of the Jestina V. Jones Memorial Fund, an organization dedicated to ensuring the education, health, and wellness of women in Sierra Leone.
